Citizens Medical is not an original idea. There are thousands of organizations, like the Red Cross and MSF, around the world that open their doors every day to help people who may not have easy access to a doctor.

But after years of working with doctors, nurses and humanitarian aid workers, and trawling through public health data and demographic projections, it occurred to me that we are going to need thousands more Red Crosses and MSFs to address the real crisis of global public health.

So, here we are.

As we develop this organization, we hope you join us. We hope to create a message board and develop our social media presence soon so you can engage with us and get involved. We plan to bring contributors in as soon as possible, and eventually employ staff to work on our projects.
